Website Information
This is a website designed to help you find the appropriate 3D
printing material for your application. It contains over 60 materials,
along with all of the necessary printing conditions, and other
important information.
-
Heat Deflection Temperature (at .45 Mpa): The
temperature at which the material deforms under a specified load.
(materials range from 35°C to 316°C)
-
Tensile Strength: The maximum stress the material
can withstand while being stretched or pulled before breaking.
(materials range from 11 Mpa to 990 Mpa)
-
Tensile Modulus: A measure of the stiffness of the
material. (materials range from .0078 Gpa to 191 Gpa)
-
Max Price per kg: The maximum acceptable price per
kilogram you are willing to pay for the material. (materials range
from 25 USD to 1330 USD per Kg)
-
Printing Technology: FDM: Filament Deposition Modeling, the most common and affordable type of 3D printing which uses filament (typically 1.75mm in diameter) and extrudes it onto a bed, layer by layer.
SLA: Stereolithography, uses either a laser or a UV LCD screen (MSLA) to cure a thin layer of UV cureable resin.
SLS: Selective Laser Sintering, uses a laser to melt a thin layer of plastic powder together.
